Ah Avocado. Nature’s Butter.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Avocado Festival. Since avocados are probably in the top 5 foods I consume, I was MORE than excited to check out the event.

I went to AvoFest a couple of years ago so I knew what to expect. Lined along the main street of a quant little town just south of Santa Barbara called Carpinteria, is AVOCADO EVERYTHING. Seriously EVERYTHING.

avocado ice cream. avocado beer. avocado bread. avocado soap. avocado smoothies. avocado chocolate. avocado lotion. guacamole galore. let’s not forget massive avocados for sale. Basically everything you would ever want in life.

They had avocados of every possible variety and size for sale, and most notably, California’s largest avocado! I picked up a couple Avos of varying ripeness to ensure that my avocado supply will not be running low in near future.

TriTipSandwich

We walked the street absorbing as many avocado samples as possible, and finally decided to get some grub of our own. I got a Tri-Tip sandwich with guacamole which was oh-so delicious and definitely filled my iron quota for the week.

MassiveAvo

My friend got this ginormous avo stuffed with some type of uber-healthy filling. I think it had spinach, spirulina, garlic, seeds, and some other fun things in there.IMG_3282

I also snagged one of these Avocado Cutters that will make all my avocado-slicing dreams come true!

What’s the best festival you have ever been to?

How many Avo fans are out there?
